Animals in the Judd House!

So Today was the last day of life for Hallies Fish. I accidentally killed it. We were cleaning the tank and I got side tracked and was talking to Brandt while I was putting the water in and I didnt realize it was alittle on the warm side and I put the fish in and up it floated, and then down it went and it never came back up. At first I didnt think it was dead because it always acts like that right after you clean the tank but this time it was really dead I shook the tank around a bit and it just floated there. I thought when fish die they float to the top. Dont they? Not this one it sunk to the bottom and stayed there, I will have to flush it I guess.
So now our family is animal-less, we do not own a pet. Earlier this fall our dog bit the neighbor lady, not bad, it didnt even break skin. But it scared Brandt and I because there are alot of little kids in our neighborhood and we didnt want her to get one of them, although I know she never would have, she was a very sweet dog. Anyway we had to give her to the pound. Then about a month ago our cat and her first born started acting weird and one of them was always sick, throwing up and pooping all over the garage, DISGUSTING! So I decided that it was time to give them to the pound too, not only because one of them was always sick but also the mother cat had become pretty mean, she didnt like anybody. And now today our fish died. Now I do love animals and one day we hope to have another puppy but not until the kids are alittle older, but I am enjoying not having to worry about any of the animals, feed them, clean the tank, or any of that. My dad would say I never took care of the cats, but I did. Just because they didnt have three huge houses with heating pads in them, and every kind of cat food that you can buy, yes his cat has three houses in the already heated garage, with heating pads in them, a perfectly clean litter box, and many different food, like the gourmet cat food not just the cheap dry stuff. So that is our update on the animals in our home. We have none!! And I kinda like it.

p.s. My treadmill is still for sale if anyone out there would like it.

Your fish story sounds similiar to a couple of mine: I had a fish in high school and my mom changed the water for me once--it was too hot and so it killed the fish. And then when Maclaine & I were first married, I had bought another fish and he changed the water--this time the water temp. was okay but he left it next to the window (it was open all night) and the poor fish froze. :)

I am so excited to be rid of pets at our house. I just am not an animal person. I don't mind if other people have them, but not me. Hey how much do you want for your treadmill? Nate wants one.
